thanks Cole, it was just just enough spin in 3rd to wheel hop. I checked it and kept going. Im thinking about getting the axle for the pass side.

I still don't know how you end up running the fastest E/T when my 60' was the quickest in your car.... Being an auto you would think the quickest 60' would lead to the quickest E/T.

Wanna run the z06's next friday, the 22nd?

yeah I was wondering the exact same thing...

But I think I know. You didn't have it in sport mode on the tranny so you were shifting at 5800 rpm's

Same reason Mike ran a 11.9 because he had it holding the power to 6200 rpm's. and stayed in 3rd gear instead of making the shift to 4th.

Man I want my tuner to come in so I can start playing with it he he he

Yeah lets take the z's out... but I will be itching to bring the v out... he he he.... (if I get it all done this week.

I ran a 11.2@117 on the brakes in my v2 with a cam and 14-15psi. I was bracket racing and still broke out.

Boy, it is really time to get a V2.

Here is a bone stock 2005 with a K&N air filter on stock runflat RSAs. I kept the traction control on (performance mode) to help the spin. Seemed to work as it improved times a bit.

R/T .324
60 2.285
330 5.981
1/8 8.943
MPH 84.54
1000 11.447
1/4 13.563
MPH 106.52

[QUOTE=HeavyH20;13986970]Boy, it is really time to get a V2.

No doubt...I was hoping the resale on the 2's would begin dropping soon....After seeing the #'s they're putting up, I don't see anyone getting rid of one anytime soon.

Ok if i get this right... a dead stock 06-07 CTS-V is only good for a low 13 second pass on a decent launch and mid 13s with a ok to bad launch?

Im asking mostly because I love my LGT but saw the CTS-V as a upgrade in performance. Granted my LGT is FAR from stock but it sits in abuot that range as she sits now.

Yep stock is low to mid 13s. I think a few have broke in to the 12s stock but only because the stars were aligned and they somehow got traction without hopping and blowing their diff.

I honestly dont think id track the car if i get one. Just concerned about putting out all that money for a car ONYL as fast as my little Joobaru is right now.

The V1's are not know for being good at the drag strip, but their slow ET's are primarily because the difficulty in launching, not because the car is underpowered. If low ET's are very important to you I'd suggest not buying one. However, from a roll and on a road track they do quite well.

I dont plan on ever drag racing the V... maybe a roll race or two against a friend or two.. But really just want a really fast modable sedan that is as comfortable and reliable as possible.

I was just stating that if they are only concidered a low 13 second car... and my current PAID OFF car is that fast... I have to make up my mind how much I want a CTS-V.

I would look at the MPH in the trap speeds. There are plenty of V's with 106 to 110 MPH results which tells me the potential for this car is a high 12 on regular cement. When I visited the track, there were more than a few cars that I would easily dominate from a dig on a non-prepped track that I had trouble keeping up with at the strip. I think the track is a good half second handicap with any street tire. For example, while I was there:

- a 2002 Z06 did 12.8 @ 118 MPH on street tires
- a 2007 CTS-V did 13.3@109 with mods
- a 2007 Audi IS4 did about 13.8@104
- a 2009 G8 GT did about 14.1@102
- a GTX version did 13.4@105 - had cheater slicks
- 2010 SRT8 Challenger was at 13.1 all day with drag radials
- 2008 ISF was pulling 13.3 @ 110

So, all good company, but most everyone was struggling with traction. Even the Evolution tuned Porsche GT3's were having trouble hitting 11's consistently with the Pilot Cups.
