Default CTS-V Exhaust Example Thread

Lets get posts together with pictures and video of different exhaust setups.

It is a simple thing. Post what exhaust you have along with any other relevant mods(headers/intake/cams) and then some pictures and videos of your exhaust.

As a new member and soon to be owner of a CTS-V I think it will help a lot of people to know what setup sounds and looks like what. Before going out and purchasing all the parts just to not like the outcome.

Do it now. The poll was to see if people would also be good with having this made a sticky. There are just so many options for exhausts. And while I have a good idea of what I want... Knowing how a setup fits/sounds/looks will be helpful to a lot of people IMO

Same setup, add Magnaflow mufflers...the camera phone doesnt pick up the sound very well. I'll try to get a clip from a distance later:

Stock mani's, test pipes, x-pipe (resonator delete) and stock gutted mufflers.

I think I need a resonator to get rid of the rasp.

Or, you can just go to YouTube and type in "CTS-V exhaust". You can even type in the specific header brand and cat back brand to hear it.

Just a thought.

agreed that most of these COME from youtube. But others have them on photobucket and other places. And why not just have one place to come where someone can post their mods and whats doen to the car and then a video?

What cam r u running?

Is the car tunes since the test pipes were installed? Right now, I'm running stock mani's, stock cats, x pipe and mufflers delete like you. I've been wanting to ditch the cats but I'm not sure how it would sound without a cam. Might have to put some sort of resonator back in. And... I guess I'd need a tune after deleting the cats...

I found out that one of my exhaust pipes was kinked by the shop that installed the mufflers and all the welds were leaky so I will be reconstructing the exhaust from the axle on back and take new vids...it should sound better.
