Default Where do the TPMS sensors plug in?

I noticed that I had a low tire on my car. One was reading about 25psi. However when I checked that tire with a gauge, it read 30. However, the opposite tired (diagonally) was reading right at 25psi, and when I filled it up, my readings showed I had corrected the issue. Makes me wonder if are 4 separate plugs for these, and if its possible that someone plugged them back in in the wrong order at some point.

Thoughts?

They are remotely connected (not hard wired) I believe so I'm assuming you had your tires rotated once before and the car doesn't know that and assumes the TPMS sensors are on the original spot.

FYI, mine do this too since i've had my wheels powder coated so I'm not sure which tire is ever really low until I check them all. All i know is that one of the 4 is low when it's indicated on the dash. I hope that helps or makes sense.

Just do a re-learn and follow the order, they'll be reading correctly again.

The TPIS runs off of a RF signal, somewhere in the 300 Mhz... dont remember.
I do have the details on my other computer...perhaps someone can give you that if need be.
With the key on the ON position, press both lock and unlock button, or something to that affect, and then you will hear a honk, then you let the air out of one tire/rim at a time,...this is usually done when new batteries are installed in the sensors. as seen in the procedure below:

1.) Turn ignition on (do not start)
2.) Hold unlock and lock on fob until you hear 2 beeps of horn indicates in learn mode.
3.) proceed to let air out of driver front tire til you hear 1 beep of horn
4.) proceed to passenger front and let air out til you hear 1 beep
5.) proceed to passenger rear and let air out til you hear 1 beep of horn
6.) proceed to driver rear and let air out till you hear 2 beeps of horn to signal done.
7.) turn off ignition

That is the correct way to do it. The link nikon provided has a few more details, a couple of which are pretty important. For instance, you don't need to let air out until you hear the horn beep - as the FAQ says, "(only let the air our for about 3-5 seconds.... then be patient and wait for the honk... it could take up to 20-30 seconds before it honks)". The other thing is that you can do this by adding air, as well. So, if your tires are low, and you've got access to fill the tires, then you can re-learn the TPMS locations as you add air to the tires.

they plug into the outer sidewall of the tire; make sure you use a 1" drill bit to make the hole.

Thanks for the info! No worries, I'm not noob enough to start drilling into my wheels/tires lol. I'm actually quite adept with vehicles, I had just never considered that they use an RF transmitter. I wasn't sure if they calculated pressure by the actual air pressure, or by height/rotational speed of the tire.

Thanks for the info. I'll get it set right away .
