Update...I got the bushings in today from Carl Cannon Chevy-Cadillac....Gonna put em on tomorrow. I did have a chance to jack it up and look today...Def some more worn front end parts there. I'll begin making a list of what all I have to replace.

My bushings are in at Lindsay and Luke was just off yesterday when they came in. So they will ship out soon and probably be at my door next week. I couldn't really find any other loose components in my front end, so after I get rid of the clunk, I will probably attack the rear with my SW cradle spacers, unless the bushings make that much of a difference.

Well after reading that someone had their end links to "back out", I checked mine today and the driver's side looks like it could use some tightening. Most of the rubber under there looked to have a little wear on it.....I'll be able to do a much more thorough inspection. I'm gonna just address the sway bar bushings first, because I have them in the back seat and I know they are shot...If I see anything that looks dangerous I guess I'll just have to park it till I get more parts..If not I'm hoping that the $30 fix will do the trick, and move on to a LS7 clutch upgrade.

I got my backordered front sway bar bushings on Christmas eve and installed them that afternoon (had the day off). I lubed them up with Napa Sil-Glyde spray, which is ideal for rubber lubrication. The install wasn't too bad, just did it on ramps without taking the wheels off.

More importantly, I am thrilled to declare that my front end clunk is completely gone and the car feels so much nicer now. It's such a pleasure to have it be silent and tight feeling over all surfaces. It's actually pretty tight, at 102k. Here is a bushing comparison shot I took when I removed the first one. Both were this bad. Wow.

@ Kevm14...That's GREAT to hear that it cleared yours up completely...That gives me some hope. I was supposed to put mine on the 23rd and woke up with some kind of BAD sinus funk....Feeling a lot better now and most likely gonna tackle mine tomorrow if the random *** Bama snow clears up.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I just wanted to say it helped me fix my issue, which turned out to be sway bar bushings. I also wanted to post in here because no one posted a picture. Here is the vast difference between an old, worn bushing and a new one:

New bushing inner diameter was around 7/8", old bushing was 1 1/8"...insane difference and obvious why it was clunking around so much.

Does Energy Suspension make poly bushings for the stock sway bars or is OEM the only option?

Did you ever find an aftermarket solution?

Way to bring back an old thread, bmylez. I have the EXACT same noice happening, and was about to start looking for new struts. Are the bushings still on backorder?

They were on back order in 2010. I got them quickly from GM Parts Direct.

With the car in the air can you jerk on the swaybar and see any movement? I'm going to be replacing a hub in the next week or two and will check this when it's in the air.
