Default getting ls6 from cts-v into 98 trans am

Hey whats up guys... here is my question.. my mechanic got a ls6 from the cts-v and is putting it into my trans am. motor is at the machine shop getting a inspection. anyways my mechanic keeps telling me that the ls6 in the 04 cts-v had only 385HP but everything i read says 400-405!! and the mods the car is getting at the same time is a SLP flowpac, Jba shortys, ls6 intake i had to buy cause i was not putting a ls1 one on it. the ecu is getting a full tune with the motor... Can someone tell me whats up here? does the ls6 have 405 but 385 to the wheels??? ugh im confused.

It has 400 at the crank and when installed in the V it has about 335 to the wheels. Probably a little more to the tires in a trans am.
