It was a BITCH of an install for mine. Not sure why. Everyone else had easy times but mine was ridiculous... took 9 hours... but it did give me a reason to replace both engine mounts too, so that was nifty.

The headers seem to be great quality... the girlfriend got me the right present this year =P

Now at 372 rwhp... Next is cut-outs and our NSSP cam.
Perhaps to clarify, this gain would be after an already "tuned" car (base run) before header install? then re-tuned correct?

20-25rwhp with a tune is right inline with Kooks. Most cars make somewhere in that range.

That is correct

324 rwhp untuned
335 tuned
348 fast 92/90 retuned
372 OBX headers retuned

I think I'm going to do cutouts of some sort before the cam. I need to take a better look at the underside to see if I can accomplish what I want, but basically I want to have a cutout that will bypass the mufflers when open... not just spew exhaust fumes under the car. Would be thrilled to see 380+ from this... considering that the mufflers seem restrictive I think that is possible!

As for my install, it was 8 hours of header install... which was very tedious. I'm sure it could be a little quicker now, but if someone offers to install it for $400 I'd take it LOL.

I dont think the stock exhaust is restrictive at all to be honest. What makes you think this? There have been many who have upgraded to magnaflow and such and havent gained anything but sound which is why a lot of people like myself just do the muffler delete.

if it means anything, I had done a dyno run, change to a magnaflow muffler, and gained 1hp on my TA. I would agree with itsslow98.

The best I whacked out with the 92/90 fast combo, 160° stat, CAI and a Tune (nothing else) was 356rwhp and 333tq. - with a nicely lifted area from 5K on...
Bone stock as 324.4 hp / 318tq
I do all my runs 3x each and take the closest average run. Target 13.1:1 AFR (pre-cat)
Ref: to dyno compiled

348 is a hair low, but Im sure a bit o tweaking can bump it up.

Good to see an easy 25rwhp+ with these headers

so question, I have a magnaflow cat back on my car and those cats look like they are slipjoint.....would they work with my catback if i cut the flanges and the flared lip? and maybe the cats would slide over my pipes?

Installing my headers has been a pain. I'm glad someone said raise the motor on the left side to get the header in. I will be doing that now taking a break now.
