Default Car won't start if ...

... some one is in the passenger seat and the passenger side belt is not clicked together, right?

Yeah, that is odd. Mine doesn't have any such issue, although it will show the message on the stereo screen.

Just guessing, but do you think it has anything to do with the airbag sensor? You get any errors or light on the dash for the airbag? Mine has been broken for awhile, but it still starts.

So, if you don't have a passenger, the car starts fine, but if somebody is sitting there, they have to have their seatbelt buckled?

I'm beginning to think it's a coincidence ...

Will investigate further ...

Hell, it'll start and drive just fine with the driver's belt unbuckled, why would it care about the passenger?

maybe in a past life the car was another car that got in a terrible accident and the front passenger was killed and now it doesn't want to relive that happening again? j/k

Other than the NAV notifications to put a belt on while your driving, the car should start w/o issue.

Or maybe your wife/girlfriend wired it that way so you wouldn't roll without her. Lol!

mine wont start if the battery voltage is a little low. not sure the cause of it, the automatic start (where you bump the key and it turns over on its own) does not function. you can crank it over with the key but it will not fire. happens when i do not start the car for a week or two.

I was thinking the exact same thing...When I picked my daughter up from school yesterday I turned it off and re-cranked it and told her not to buckle up yet....Then I said WTF! I'm not even buckled and it ALWAYS cranks
