Yep, its the way to go, LS7 clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder. No problems at all, feels just like stock but grips a lot better!!

Man! Had a BUNCH of PMs in my mailbox. Well, I let it go to the first guy. If it falls through (and he doesn't want to pay the UPS bill), I'll let everyone know. He's a good guy, so I really don't think that'll happen.

I do have a set of OEM wheels with PS2 tires ... anybody wanna buy them?

Ok. I'll contact one of them. Or... U could pm me a price. Just trying to decide if I should keep my current stage 4 competition clutch kit or sell it new before I install it to go with the LS7 kit or a monster kit....

I'm very interested in getting more info about this setup as my clutch is starting to slip. I looked to try to PM ecotec88fiero, but I might not have enough posts to send PMs? Does this setup work on the LS2?

I am around, busy with side work and such but go ahead and PM me.
This will work with the LS2 engine.

Odd, I couldn't PM from home, but I could from work?

I haven't driven a standard is ages, nor have I driven a high perf standard. Are there any other clutch management tips? I know things like don't ride with your foot on the clutch (only time my foot touches the clutch is to shift), stuff like that. Am I missing anything else?

When backing up into my driveway, I never fully release the clutch, always about halfway, feathering it a bit, sometimes giving it a lil more gas to get up the not smooth transition from street/driveway. I figure this isn't helping.

Darn I'm in Los Angeles otherwise I'd hit you up to install mine before I swap the engine and trans into my 67 camaro. I'm wondering how hard could it be with everything out of the car???

Vette slave is almost an inch longer and has the proper connections to mount in the V.

It depends on what bell housing you use. If you have a V bellhousing it will. But if you are using an F-body bellhousing you need to use the F-body slave. The master you use will also determine what slave you use because the connections on the C6 and V are different from the C5 and F-body slave. From the sound of it, you have a whole pull out from an F-body. A lot of people have installed the LS7 clutch in the F-body and have used the stock slave. Some may need a small shim under the slave. I would check out the manual trans section here on the board. Lots of good LS7 swap info in there.

Thanks for the detailed response. Yes this is a pull out, eng./trans., from an 02SS F body. I am debating if I should install a new clutch and if so the LS7 is the one I will use. I read this thread and was thrown off by the slave suggestion. Thanks for the clarification on this application.
