Nobody has ever had a solid mount but I would venture to say its the next closest thing. There is some urethane in there captured by the bolt and the top half of the mount. They are very stiff yet still provide some isolation so all the harmonics dont transmit into the frame. There is hardly any engine movement with the RC51's.

But enough thread jack, I'll let the man get back to selling solid mounts! People apparently want them so on with the show!

But just for the record, and not having any pertinence to this thread, aluminum IS softer than steel.
That's why it was in quotes.

Aluminum vs steel motoro mounts will still be a solid mount.

Your question was: "How is aluminum "softer" than steel?"

My question is: Who said it was?

And we won't be making "motoro" mounts. Those are Italian engineered and way too expensive.

I have Luke's UUC yellow motor mounts, so far so good.
I might need to shield them...

Has anyone experience a yellow UUC motor mount failure?

Thought I'd update this thread with some pictures. We opted to not utilize the pin since there's technically no need for it.

Just a comparison next to Creative Steel mounts. More to show dimension than anything else, not to take anything away from Max's (I'll be running his on my CTS).

I wonder what the ride is going to be like with a solid mount.
