You should have seen the first gen mounts! All they had was a round Allen bolt! I was the first to have them fail along with many others. I guess their fix was to use a hex head bolt lol. What a joke. Overpriced **** if you ask me. I'm glad I never installed my yellow replacements.
This is my thread from the other forum.

On that same note, per my other thread, you mind to post or PM me the exact measurements and specs of that mount? I have some cheap, forum member made, solid mounts in the works.
Thanks in advance,

well you wouldn't want a long threaded rod going all the way through the mount. that would make it a solid mount (but a weak one prone to failure)
there are much better fail safe motor mount designs though...
after seeing these pictures will be avoiding UUC mounts though

Here's a qoute from UUC from your thread
Regardless of what the initial cause was, we are implementing a design update that will eliminate failures. These update actually has a couple of new features; a more secure mechanical retaining system (bonding becomes a secondary, redundant safety measure) and an anti-rotational hardware design to eliminate rotational damage to the assembly.
We are confident that these updates will restore the "bulletproof" nature of the part.

What a joke assembly.
I talked to the owner/pres of UUC and he wasn't much of a reassurance.
This was after the "black" failures.
He took no responsibility for the original design, he just owned the company........................
As for this design, I say he owns it.
Everyone knows UUC treats the Cadillac owners like "red headed" step kids.

wow what a shitty second version. makes me second guess the entire uuc line up.
i am not a company nor a motor mount specialist, but i knew better than this on my first (not second) try at making my own mounts.
