Best way to sell my V?
Well, i've had my V for over 4 years now and its time to move on. Im in negotiations with the owner of a sweet 2010 manual V. I need to get rid of my car pretty soon.
I plan on listing it on craigslist, cars.com, autotrader and the forums. Is it worth it to put it up on ebay? Anything else I should do to gain exposure?
FYI...i'm listing it at $31k.
Thanks guys!

You pretty much have all avenues covered. I've bought and sold a car on Cars.com, and I also bought my WS6 off Ebay. I never anticipated buying a car off Ebay, but the price was right and I felt comfortable after seeing a bunch of pictures. It was only a few hours away so I figured I didn't have much to lose. I would definitely give Ebay a shot.

It'll be very hard to sell at 31k, and I'm sure the mods you have listed have a lot to do with your asking price. If you're going to sell a car like that, with all those mods, and look to get your money back, it's going to be tough unless you can sell it to a gear head who's interested in already having that stuff done to the car.

I realize that at $31k its not going to sell tomorrow. I also plan on doing some marketing with local car groups. The more exposure I can get her the easier she will sell.
For someone that wants a well maintained, lightly modded LS2, I think this will be a good option. My dealer will give me $25k, but i'd like to get more than that for her so that my payments on the V2 are lower.

If it sells it sells. If it doesn't sell by April 1 then i'll just look for another V2. Its not that big of a deal. I just have a pretty good deal worked out on a V2, pending the sale of mine.

for what your car is that is a good price, the only issue is the prices of the out of warranty ls6 cars that have hurt the resale some what.
i would think it would be better to move it sooner then later though since the v2 prices and its competitors are slowly coming down.

I fear that my V will depreciate faster than the V2, that means that the sooner I sell mine the better. I may pay more for a V2 now, but at least I wont loose my *** on my V.

I think your best bet is going to be selling it to the dealer if your in a time crunch. As i dont see you getting that much more for it... plus then your having to wait. And if you dont want to part it out, then your just competing versus other cars with less miles. People dont really care about mods, 1. on these cars and 2. in this market.
You could probably get 27ish for it, but id bet 29+ is highly unlikely. Try putting it on ebay, thats going to get you the most exposure. Put it up there a couple times, if it doesnt sell for what you want trade it.
Its hard enough trying to sell these cars, as no one knows what they hell they are. lol. I think thats part of the reason they loose their value so fast. No so much because they arent worth it... just because its such a small audience to sell to.
IMO

FWIW I bought my '05 off e-bay last year for 30K, but it had only 1,380 miles and was stock. I felt pretty comfortable that it was a solid car in very good condition.
IMO, all of your engine mods might scare away potential buyers at 30K+. Especially without a warranty.

I finally have mine sold, getting 12k for it. Awesome right?! Call a broker, have them sell it. Try cats exotics, he sells all of our cars exotic and non exotic, we are in nj he is in wa. Send lots of pics, he usually takes a small profit, 1000 or so. Buy pays shipping all gravy!
