Default Need new struts....help!?!?! Ahhhh

Well, I can say my CTS-V hasn't been perfect to me, fuel pump melted, driveshaft blew....and now front struts

Well, you got to pay to play right I don't drive 'er like grandpa....

Front right strut making creeking noise, apparently another common problem with this cheaply designed junk car I love so much.

What are good feasible options. I don't want to do full coil overs really, and I don't know if I have the FE4's or Fg2's...

What other options are there?

I would just throw a set of FE4s on the car personally and be done with it.

Are you ruling these out simply because you don't know which you have?

The rears are easy to see with the car still on the ground, just duck your head under there. Look at the part number, and also for the solid or dashed black border around the label.

No, the Fe4's are junk. What kind of coil overs are you doing? I'm interested in learning about the different suspension options for these cars. I have the FE4's on my V, and I checked at the dealer, the Fg2's are going to run $1000.00. Is that a fair price for these and what to expect to pay. I see the Fg2's also blow the driver front and these also can't be purchased individually but only as a set of 4. QA1's, I can't find anywhere really or enough info on them. I don't mind paying $1000.00 for quality, but are the FG2's the answer?

Has anybody tried KYB gas or Monroe replacement struts? I'm curious because KYB gas are about $500 for all four corners at autoparts warehouse. Normally I would be leary of actual fit, but they show a pic and its the right mounts and everything. This seems like a good price for anyone wanting to stay closer to stock.

Note: Why is it I think $1200 for 4 coilovers is expensive but 1 triple clicker for my bike is cheap at $700?
