ECR track review:
Now that I had a chance to look at my videos this is what I think so far of LG coilovers at the track.
On the straights: VERY stable and controlled not harsh.
Into the corners: the V slid alittel and tires howled front and back
...... air temps were 90+
Exiting the corners: foot to the floor, no movement, V was planted

A squeal developed late in the day, but it sounds to me like a sway bar bushing, need to lube.

As part of what Louis asked me to do for the coilover build, I'm bring the V back to him next week so he can check out everything post track day.

DTC 30 pads: WOW much more braking grip than the HP+, I heard/felt the front tires churping a little on hard braking, very little nose drive (due to front springs). Braking: done

Nice balance job and weight.

At the Spectre 3:41 Challenge two weekends ago, my car weighed 3840 (didn't see the corner weights) with 7/8 of a full tank of gas.

I figured that 7/8 tank is 16.2 gallons of gasoline x 6.15 lb/gal = 100 lbs

So that puts my car's curb weight at approximately 3740 lbs with no gas in the tank. Very close to your V's weight.

How much gas did you have at the time the corner weighting was done?

I have not actively done weight reductions
Here's a list changes/status to my V that affects weight:
*I had 1/2 tank of gas
*LG coilovers, 3778 after corner balance & without me in the car
*Magnaflow mufflers (very small compared to OEM)
*stock OEM rims
*Toyo AD08 tires
*OEM seats
*2.5 xpipe replaced OEM resonator
*removed OEM engine cover
*rear strut tower brace (sold now @ Lindsey)

Why did they corner balance the car without you in it (or at least some weight to simulate a driver being in the car)? That kind of defeats the purpose of corner balancing.

Tires aren't something to skimp on IMO.

I have gone through maybe 50 sets of track tires. For those that can truly handle some use on the street, I suggest the following -

If 10k miles is enough, and you don't mind road noise, the Toyo R888
If you want 15-20k miles, the Bridgestone RE-11 can't be beat in my book. Haven't run Yokohamas though.

Just my 2 cents. RE-11s going on mine as I type.
