One comment. I have recently had trouble fitting some QA-1 shocks (which happen to have a much thicker shock tube than stock) on my car because of my beefier Hotchkis swaybars and short C5 Z06 endlinks.

Long story short, basically the shop that I was having do the install just gave up because the front swaybar (where it sharply curves in toward the endlink) was preventing the shock from being bolted in at the bottom (the two large prongs).

My comment would be to please allow for some extra clearance for CTS-V owners who have larger swaybars and shorter (and thicker) front swaybar endlinks. I'm very close to wanting a set of these (after we hear some more feedback from Jerry), but I want to know that I won't have the same problems with these shocks that I did with the QA-1s.

I would also be willing to buy some Powergrid adjustable endlinks if that would fix the clearance issue (I have no idea if it would or not).

Please advise.

Will the dampers incorporate some kind of boot to protect the rod and seals from debris? What kind of longevity can be expected from the spherical rod ends? Bilstein, so I'm assuming non-adjustable monotube?

im a suspension newb, but maybe these questions will help other newbs.

1. Are these compression/rebound adjustable?
2. What is the benefit of running coilovers at 4 corners rather then just the front?
3? Any modification/fab needed to install and run?

Good news, I have Hotchkis swaybars on my V when the coilovers where installed.
and on my couple of test drives, I found no noises.

and yes the shocks are non-adjustable.

End links for the V are being addressed within a couple of days, I believe Louis has a Vette part that will work, but I'm going to wait for his comments.

Waiting for results on these. My local shop is trying to talk me into a set of KW's for his cost. He has them on his RS6. I dont need the adjustable shock though and like the fact the spring and shock are together on these. I want some road testing results though. I dont mind a firm ride but dont want a hay wagon feel as I have 20" forged wheels on the car right now.

Great. I guess I hope that I could keep my sways and front endlinks, just because that would save a bit of cash. Either way, this is sounding like a better deal with every post.

Eagerly awaiting in-depth testing impressions!

My plan (baring rain) is to run the V at Eagles Canyon on Sat June 4th
http://www.eaglescanyon.com/2008/sch...mon=06&yr=2011

My best lap time @ ECR that I recorded was 2:13.2
http://www.facebook.com/video/?id=1639941333
...I have run ECR many times, but I'm no professional.

IF anyone in the area and wants to come and watch, you're invited!!!

I plan to shot in-car video and post results...

Lots of clearance on the shock to swaybar! The shock is inverted, because the coil would not fit, but the shock body would. Jerrys stock shock rubbed, ours is designed with more clearance than that.

We do not run any grit guards, but I can get them. The shock has a dirt wiper before the seal so dirt doesnt hurt it. Some of the vette systems are nearing 80-100k miles with out issue. The grit guard will only help as a safety measure.

They are non adjustable.

Coilovers in the rear are advantageous because they are now on the same page- IE the same wheel rate. The spring and the shock are now working together. What the spring does, the shock does, as opposed to mounting them separately.

No fabrication required. The hardest part is punching out the old front upper rubber shock bushing to make way for a bolt in adapter.

Its not stiff, but not plushey. Its a firm ride thats supple over the bumps.

Im not sure where the question was asked, but these are totally 100% rebuildable. If you have a part that gets hurt in a wreck, or bend something from a pot hole, what ever the case may be, we can rebuild them no problem.

I've been on the site for over a year now but just registered to check out the pricing on these as I am very interested. However, for some reason it says my account is unable to access the link that is posted.

Can I get some details on pricing?

great hardware! love the mounts much better than my k-sports.

doesn't seem to be camber adjustable though, but that's very minor.

also love the rears being combined.

Nothing on the springs/damper configuration on this car would allow camber configuration.

there are other means of doing that on an alignment machine. they make certain adjustments to modify the camber degree.
