Never melted all the way through. Just started melting the conduit and rubber insolation when I start having my electrical issues. Car would just randomly lose all power, but fire right back on after 3 to 7 seconds. Dealer said the wire fell loose and was swinging back and forth, making contact with the header. Since I caught it early, I didn't cause any damage to my long tubes.

All this happened about 2 weeks a go. So, it took 14 months and 17,651 miles.

biggie if you feel like driving to PA i'll help you do the clutch and headers. could probably rent my dad's buddies garage off of him.

For what it's worth, i'm the self titled pro at pulling this car's transmission. From jack to jack I can have it out in about 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. I've done it WAY too much.

@cole yeah ima wrap them id rather pay 25 bucks on protecting wires than 800 replacing parts.. but I have kooks 1 3/4 headers.. kinda spacious there.. the main thing I'm worried about is the starter on the passenger side..

Whisler had 3/4s on his, same issue. Mainly the driver side is were the problems will be, since that's where the steering rack is. Just give them a good wrap, and tie back all the wires, and possibly wrap them as well. Do that, and you should be fine.
