A new jackshaft is about $250. A new bearing is only $15. It only makes sense to fix it before it's too late.
I know that guy.

Good luck OP. Mine was around $750 including shipping out to CA and back.

UPDATE: I should be receiving the unit back today or tomorrow... the rear bearing failed and the rotors came out of timing, so I ended up having to buy a new upper because there was housing wear... I opted for a silver replacement since it's $600 cheaper. Luckily no debris was found... I think I caught it just in time before things really got messy... in the end the repair cost me $1200, but I feel better knowing it's all new bearings, seals and gaskets... should be good to go for a while now.

I drove a buddy's Cobra for a while that had a ported S/C on it. You could barely hear a "faint" whistle at idle. WOT it sounded like a hyena being raped! LOVED IT

Yeah I've had my fair share of Mustangs throughout the years....I drive the V about 6,000 a month as my sales ride....A Termi was a bit unpractical for what I needed. I haven't gotten tired of the V yet!
