I'm sure a body shop you're forking at least 4k over to for hail damage would have no issue just drilling 2 holes for windshield washers. Mine went over my car and buffed out all the scratches for me at no cost

Yeah, I've always come out ahead on insurance deals. The shop will usually do u extra favors to get your business.

You get the hood, with 2 holes in the hood where the vents go, than you get the 2 vents separately, and they need to be bonded into it...it took my shop quite a bit of work to do it, but they were able to do it.

Makes the vented hood less appealing. I'd prefer it came ready to paint. I don't think the shop wants to put that kind of effort into it. It's a Cadillac Body Shop, not a random body shop.

I was honestly pretty disappointed in it, when I first got it, but now that it is done, I really like the hood!!

EC is only $750 for the cowl without vents and you'll prob save a bunch on prep work.

SW is $1300 for a standard cowl or $1700 in carbon fiber.

What a price difference! I didn't realize the standard EC cowl hood was just $750 but I suppose the lack of squirters would sucks.

I'm wishing I had canceled the SW order now because they MAYBE shipped it today. Taken 3 weeks to get the damn thing ready to ship!

Never pulled the trigger on the cancellation. EC didn't impress me when I called them, but I kinda wish I did.

As far as Creative Steel engine mounts, I have the black ones and they came with metal heat shields. I have all the Creative Steel stuff, and it made a huge difference. Liked dealing with them too.

I have the black ones with heat shields waiting to be installed. I plan to order the CS trans mount and diff bushing as well. I may go ahead and order their shifter bushings too if my stock ones are in rough shape.
