Looking to order a cowl hood and motor mounts for my V!
I've seen a couple cars on here with cowl hoods and I like the look. Not to mention since I bought my V and murdered it, I've had quite a few followers in the area and I'd like to do something else to make mine unique from the others. What brand cowl hood should I look at buying? I want a quality piece with good fit and finish.
Also need to order some motor mounts, trans mount, diff bushing and shifter bushings. Been meaning to upgrade them for awhile but I've been putting it off. Before I get into modding now, I figure I'll do the mounts and stuff first so everything is nice and tight.
Which motor mounts are you guys liking? I was gonna go UUC but read some threads about them falling apart. Creative steel seems to be the favored mount now from what i read but i want to be sure I order the good ones the first time. Anyone who wants to suggest which mounts and bushing I should run, feel free.
I'm looking to order a hood and the mounts/bushings ASAP.

Thanks for the info man! I'll have to do a search online for prices. I plan to do LT headers too. I really want kooks but cant talk myself into spending the money on them. OBX offers LT's for the V and the coated pacesetters with catless connector pipes for under $500 are pretty tempting. At that price, if I even still have the car in 5 years, I can replace em and still spend less than kooks. Lol

Thanks for the help and info fellas! Looks like I'll run all CS mounts!
As far as the hood, the spectre was more the style I was originally looking for. Just a basic cowl hood that's clean and simple. The extreme composites however has my attention. Looks like the cowl is slightly bigger and those vents are pretty sick looking!
I've seen another hood on here with those same vent style holes but I believe it does not have a cowl. I think it was a basic V hood with 3 vents on each side down closer to the front as heat extractors. Looked pretty cool but the cowl looks more aggressive and muscle like to me.

Also note that the extreme composits hood does NOT have windshield washer holes. One reason I decided when I do this ill be getting the specter is the fit and finish they are supposed to have to include being ready for the washers. details matter.

CS gray motor mounts are good but if you have headers wrap them with header wrap or they will melt and bubble. The CS gray trans mount made my short throw shifter hit the driveshaft donut bolts and it caused vibrations so I'm using a new stock mount and I'm happy with it.
I've torn through two CS diff mounts, now I'm making my own. The CS diff mounts are probably fine for stock power levels.

Damn, so it sounds like none of the aftermarket motor mounts are completely perfect. That sucks. I dont have many mods on the car at the moment but I am 9 weeks away from finishing school and then the fun will begin. I dont want to put something on the car now that will need to be replaced again in the near future. I know my factory mounts and bushings are shot so im going to replace them asap. Guess ill have to find another options if both the UUC and CS mounts a bushings have issues.
As far as the hoods go, i didnt even notice the extreme composites hood didn't have a spot for the windshield squirters. That kinda sucks cause i was really liking that hood. The spectre works is really nice too though. The vents just make it look a little more aggressive and i think the cowl may be a little bigger on the EC hood. I like the Spectre heat extractor hood. That is the one i was thinking of. If its functional, thats awesome. I just dont like that it looks factory other than the vents. The cowl makes it stand out a little more IMO and makes it look a little more aggressive.
