Help! Anyone know what these are? [pics]
I bought a lot of parts, for a few different cars. I then moved cross country before I got it all in. I think these are V parts.
Know what they are?
Thanks!
The second pic shows how they can be pulled apart/opened up.
I know what I HOPE they are, but I don't think they are...

YES!
I thought that's what they were, but when I picked them up, they were so darn hard. So I thought I must've got them wrong...
I looked around for 30min before I posted this, then accidentally spelled Specter the right way, as I had been searching incorrectly. So I found it.
About 2 months ago, I grenaded the rear end, driveshaft and both axles. Everyone on these forums talks about which way is better to eradicate wheel hop. After tomorrow, I'll have done:
DSS/Hendrix Race Axles - fully upgraded with every bell and whistle
Specter Cradle Mounts
BMR Pinion Brace
Creative Steel Diff Block
Creative Steel Diff Mount
Creative Steel Transmission Mount
Creative Steel Engine Mounts
Now, I'm quite sure I'll be too scared to drop the clutch again. But IF I DO, It better not snap anything!

I would lose the pinion brace. IMO it is a poor design and puts too much stress on the case. I have heard of numerous failures with it. With axles and bushings to prevent hop and a new rear i doubt the brace is of much benefit anyway

Get the pinion brace out of there ASAP!! It takes the clunk away for those drivers that obey traffic laws and such =P... but adds a lot of stress when driven aggressively.
2 down with the brace with no clunk. Took the brace off now I have the clunk but my diff is good so far, even with 2 track visits.....
Same break, both times.

op.... lube the SW bushings with marine grease.. or some other water resistant grease to keep down the noise at low speeds.. these bushings def help plant the rear at speed but add a creaking noise at low speeds similar to the GM white TSB bushings..
+ 1 on not using a pinion brace.. imo pinion lash was built into the driveline to compensate for the mediocre diff case

Thanks a ton. I so much wish that I got this an hour earlier. We're going onto the dyno now. Doh! At least I'll know what the culprit behind all that noise is...
Dangit.

It did big numbers. I'll post in another thread, but we got 384.3rwhp and 374rwtq. I'm stoked!
Mods - LS7 clutch and flywheel, MSD 8.5mm wires, NGK TR-55, no mufflers, K&N FIPK. That's it. Forced Fed Performance got 35 or so more HP out of it on tune and FIPK. Wow. Is this normal, or should I be freakin' stoked?

no offense but there dyno is very friendly. With those mods, I would have been happy with 350 rwhp. Most cars with headers dyno in the 360 area with a few that have clutch and flywheels setups and a few more boltons in the 375-380 range. Those numbers are VERY high. Even full bolton C5Z will barely pull those numbers and they typically dyno a little more with the same mods as a V.
If the numbers are right that is a record for a basically stock car. Stock dyno#'s are around 330-335rwhp. A tune and K&n would put you around 345-350 at most. Muffler delete does not add any power. They somehow found 35 additional HP. You might have gained a FEW with the LS7 clutch setup but def not 35. Nice numbers either way so dont take this the wrong way. Just seeing as many dyno's as I have from LS based cars, they seem extremely high for the mods. There are a few cammed V's that struggled to hit 395rwhp with headers etc....
