Good Price for Cam Install and Tune $1250?

I've been lookin for a good shop south of Austin, have you guys heard of Henderson Performance in New Braunfel? done any buisness there? I'm planning on a cam and tune also, that seems like a reasonable price.

the cam is not the difficult part IMHO, I agree that part is easy, it's removing everything around it, like grills, radiators, ect, getting it all back together and then tuning it. Can one guy in one day do it? sure, but it would have to go smooth will no problems. I would put my money on 2 days, unless he has help.

If it's a high-mileage motor, just to be on the safe side. A crank seal is easy and cheap while the balancer is off.
Some dual spring combo (Patriot Gold/Extremes, Comp 921s) retainers are not compatible with the OEM seals due to the seal height, and again, if it's a high-mileage motor, just to be safe.

If you're in Texas you're a fool if you don't use SNL... even if it is a 4-5 hour drive for you. Those guys are the **** when it comes to the LS motors and stand behind their work like none I have ever known.

When they did my cam install I believe it was around $1400 for everything. I'd give them a call and find out.
