I saw those pics on Autoscoops last September and there was a lot of speculation that this was the "racing" model. That really didn't make any sense to me though as:
1.) Why would you test a race car on the street?
2.) The actual CTS-V racing has 5-spoke hubs and a roll cage not seen in these pics.
So who knows....

Those look like the optional rims they are offering to order for the CTS....

FWIW though When these spy pictures came out originally they thought this was the CTS-V Race Car.
Well now that the CTS-V Race car has come out its obvious these pictures are not of a CTS-V Race Car..

..So the question is what is this car? I know it's not a race car because there is no reason to test it on the streets, heck you probably can't legally and we all know GM's Lawyers dominate the business
