Looking for real world gas mileage, likes/dislikes
Starting to get tired of the V and want another truck, loved my tahoe, so the sierra is just a natural progression.
Anyone wanna buy my V? Only 60k on it.

How much u gonna want for your V? And glad to see im not the only one going through an early life crisis at almost 26. lol Ill be 26 on the 29th.

I doubt you'd get 20 mpg in it, unless you're doing 60 on flat land and easy on it. Do those have DoD and/or more than 4 speed autos?
Reason I mention this is i had a WK Jeep with 5.7 Hemi and it had DoD (different name) and when it'd kick in, I could get 20 mpg, but if I did anything over 65, it'd drop down to 14 or so...It's neat in theory, but what a PITA that was it kicking in and out. I mean, you didn't really notice it a whole lot except for the exhaust note changing and you could just tell and it went in and out relatively quick, but still...And (least with Hemi), you have to run the right oil, or else it won't work right (the lifters). It's been my experience that Chryslers generally always get worse mileage then others, especially GM's, but I'd be skeptical getting that kind of mileout of out something so big and heavy and shaped like a brick!

Go diesel!
There's a lot of diesel's out there WAY faster than our V's as well.
I've got one, pulls like a freight train, pulls anything and gets way more compliments than the V too!
Oh yeah, even with the 35's, still get 18 highway!

I KNOW that diesel trucks do hold their value 20% more give or take on the demographic. What I will chime in on is that diesel is $3.91 here and 87 octane is $3.34/gal. My brother has a 2010 Z-71 and we just took a 300 mile trip with 3 guys, 7 days worth of gear for each and a 21' Skeeter bass boat. Averaged the mpg's and got 19.9 mpg on the trip running 87 octane and averaging 80+/- on the interstate. If this is gonna be a DD then the difference in fuel-gas prices will show up in a HURRY. Just my .02
