Guys, the mesh is not chrome :p it's raw stainless...I like the look of the stock stainless, but the chrome plastic surrounding trim I'm not sure...in some ways I'd like to see it black chrome (for my Thunder Gray and some other colors), but then again the chrome doesn't look too bad either, although shame it's plastic.

Most of us are talking about the chrome trim when we say chrome, not the grille itself...with the exception of 1 guy.
Heres mine.
Maybe one day I'll powercoat the chrome trim but for now I just used plast-dip on it.
Heres mine.

RRsV....I like the look of yours the best on a black V. With the mesh done it's just a bit much IMO. But I guess that's why we all own our own cars and can do as we choose to them. It's a good thing cause Lord knows I've made some FUGLY choices though the years on some of my rides.

I've been looking at it more, especially in the sun, and I really kinda dig it. The plasti-dip is drying right now, so I should have some pictures later today.

So here's the real deal in Plasti-Dip. I think it will look better in the sun than it does in the photos, but I'm not unhappy with it. The grills are a bit of a pain to get out, and the lower one is hard to get back in without marring the finish.

I was still on the fence about this for a while after doing it. I don't dislike it, just wasn't sure if I liked it more than stock.
But today I was driving a friend's car while he drove mine, so he could hear what his exhaust sounded like. The V in the rear-view mirror with that grill, it looked pretty mean. I'm definitely a fan.

I think it would like good if you had some additional black accents else where on the car to compliment it. Maybe black rims, badges... and tinted fogs or something to that extent.

THen again I hate chrome more than most people or things. Even more than NJ and I would still love to see that state fall off into the atlantic leaving nothing more than a large grease/spray tan slick on the ocean.

Ok I am really digging the pics of Raven cars with the black grills. I wanna do it so bad but at the same time liked stock. I sell black chrome tint paint for wheels at work. I wonder...

The inferno red pictured a few posts up top looks weird with the plast-dipped grille trim. Like someone else said, it needs more black accents to pull it off. Best thing to do is have the grille trim painted and color matched to the inferno red and leave the grille itself alone. That would look nice!
Again, just my .02¢.

It's been a while now and the grille grows on me more and more. I can't imagine it chrome again. In fact, when I see pictures of red V's with the chrome grill, that looks sort of odd to me now.
I really think the black looks good, and really looks mean...
