Who has the Everlast tig?
Who had the Everlast tig? I saw a pic on here that had a picture of an Everlast in the background but can't remember what thread it was in. Anyway, whoever you are, would you mind sharing some info on the welder? I'm in the market for a tig and just can't justify the price of a Miller or Lincoln for how often it will be used.
Thanks

I dont have one, but I've heard good things about the everlast.
After burning through a couple pounds of stainless filler, couple pounds of aluminum filler and a little mild steel work, my Hobart EZ Tig is still working great. But at $1200 i think the EZ tig is about double the price of the Everlast.

There's a review of it... seems like a nice unit. sucks that the max amp **** is on the foot pedal, though.
although i've only ever welded a smiley face into a piece of metal just pissing around, so i guess i've never really experienced a weld.

I am also looking at the Miller Diversion. Seems like a nice unit will very little to screw up for the novice tig welder. Then again, I would like to have the adjustablity for when I figure out what's going on too. The Diversion 165 sounds a little small but it's priced pretty competitively for a Miller.
The Diversion and the Hobart EZ tig are basically the same box and I have found the Diversion 165 for 1210 brand new online.

The Diversion can be upgraded, but then your spending more $$.

Ahh see I didn't realize the hobart came with the pedal! Thanks for the info. The torch and fixed cables are what was kind of pushing me away from the Diversion but it sucks that Hobart decided to use the fixed cables on the EZ tig as well.

I have been wanting a TIG weldor for a while, but hesitant to pull trigger on everlast unit until they established some history (fairly new company). From what I've seen about how they back up their product I'm likely to order one this year.
I can't afford the miller welder I want (pulse settings), but the everlast setup with those features I can get for under 2k.

I'm looking at the Power Tig 250EX. Sounds like you are as well. This is the one I am likely to buy as well. I have a free plasma cutter coming my way but know nothing about it other than it needs a torch. As soon as I get it I will decide if it's going to be the Power Tig 250 EX or the Power Pro 256 as it's only 200 more with a 60 amp plasma cutter. Either way, it will most likely be around tax time before I get one. Just doing my homework before I buy.

Found out my free plasma cutter is an older auto arc quick cut 2000 made by miller. It's only a 20 amp max machine but should do what I really need it for. Has HF start and rated to cut 3/16". Should cut 1/4 if I take it slow.

Probably most of you already know that Miller owns Hobart.
Miller being an upgraded version of Hobart.
So, unless you are welding all the time,
the Hobart is the slightly lower grade Miller machine.
I own the Mig 210 . . . like spreadin' buttterr.

Well I'm excited. It's been a long while since I started this thread but the day has finally come. I purchased an Everlast Powertig 210 EXT. It's the equivalent of the Lincoln Invertec V205 or Miller Dynasty 200DX as far as functions go. With a military discount I paid $1542 shipped. Not bad considering the only Dynasty I can find is used, has no warranty, and cost twice what I paid. The Millers really hold their value. That's what I really wanted but just couldn't spend that kind of money.
Should be here next Tuesday. I've never TIG'd before so it may be a bit before I post any pics or anything lol but I can't wait to get and start melting metal!
