This partial kit is offered for the do-it-yourselfer that wants to supply the differential center section on their own.

Kit includes:

1) A new two piece drive shaft made from aluminum and 4130. These drive shafts have serviceable U-joints and carrier bearings unlike the factory installed drive shafts.

2) New 4130 axles with inner CV's and 31 spline stubs to mate to an 8.8 rear differential equipt with a 31 spline carrier. This axle assembly will require you to reuse your factory outter CV's. The factory outter CV's will handle 600hp with no problem, if you plan on going much beyond that and will be torturing your rear end stronger CV's can be quoted.

3) Powder Coated mounting brackets to mount the Ford 8.8 housing to the original mounting locations of the factory differential.

No hardware is supplied with this partial kit.

Those metal brackets should be stronger than the diff. haha

I was thinking if I slam on this thing and the diff breaks. Whats another 250$?, ya know?

Then if the metal brackets bend they have a warranty. So it's win win

Did you ask him if it will work with a cobra 8.8 instead of the t-bird one he has on his site? I am not sure they are 100% the same?

it will work with both. I am working on putting an aftermarket diff cover in with bearing supports. I am doing some grinding on the cover but it should fit also

Im suprised they recommend 31 spline axles. Id imagine 33-35 would be better suited for such a heavy 6 speed car.
