thats my thinking, those three things dont make your car faster.... just makes the driver have more confidence to drive harder.

I completely agree about the steering wheel... the steering wheel in my .:R32 is 10x better... small and fatter, very comfortable grip

- Wheel $329 (Alcantara or can combine Leather & Alcantara).
- Adding thumbrests $100 (at 10 & 2 o'clock positions).
- Extra 1/16" padding $30 or 1/8" padding $50 (The 1/16" & 1/8" paddings would make your stock wheel to about 1/4" & 1/2" thicker respectively).
- Colored/Style stitching (no extra charge).
- Shipping $18.
Turn around time about 2-3 days. 4-5 days if adding thumbrests.

We can do group buy as follow
* 2-5 wheels, 10% discount.
* 6-10 wheels, 15% discount.
* 11 or more, 20% discount.
Please note the discount is only apply at time of order. Let's say if you order 5 wheels, we need all 5 wheels at a time and the discount is 10%.
I have a wheel already that im shipping to him. anybody else in?

I love a fat wheel, but I might also stick with the 1/16" pad.
Not sure about the thumb rests. We already have them, but they're hardly there. Dunno......
Third thing is the color. I like the, I'll call it dark grey/almost black. But I don't know if it'll blend in as well as straight black.

With any luck I'll send them out next week.

EDIT: Just noticed discount is 2-5. Thought it was 5. That should cover the cost of the spare steering wheel I'm getting

Does anybody know if the V2 has a smaller diameter steering wheel than the V1?

i kinda like how that looks, nice and thick.

Are the wheels the same hardware wise aside from the vehicle specific electronics?

Got a wheel through ebay. The plan is to throw it in the V while my wheel is getting done. Don't want to take the chance of running into complications after it's done.

That fat wheel looks great but it's probably smaller than ours.

Another company that might be worth looking into is JPM Coachworks. They're pretty popular over on the Subaru board, and their work looks fantastic. They have specific cars listed on their site, but they could probably do other wheels as well.

It's funny, I've never had any complaints about the stock wheel, but now that you guys have brought this up and posted some pics I'm starting to think a leather/alcantara upgrade would be pretty sweet.

My spare wheel just came in. I'll do a quick write-up when I have it off the car and see if the electronics can be swapped out between different CTS models. This one's a base model with the *** on the right side.
I thought I'd post a pick of what the back of the wheel looks like for anyone trying to get the airbag off. No special tool needed. Just use a short screwdriver to push that spring in. Actually anything will work as long as it fits in the slot. Once you have the aribag off you need a T20 torx and a firm, but gentle, pull to get the bezel off.

Unless i have a problem, I'll ship my stuff out next week.
Shady, how do you want to do this? If your ready to ship next week, I don't mind having them hold my work till yours gets there for the group buy.

Thanks for the tip. Did you need a puller to get the wheel off the column?. My wheel is on its way to Dallas steering wheel. They haven't received it yet. I told them to hold off and wait until your wheel gets in so we can get the 10% off..

Im getting mine done like this/\ white stiching black ALc.. i keep going back and forth between the thickest pad and the thinner one.. cant decide

If anyone else is trying to get in on this group buy poast up.. like tony said any CTS wheel will work swap the Electronics out when you get it back..

Ok, I'll send mine in Monday.
You'll definitely need a puller.
I can't decide between black and grey.
