i got mine from amazon and had a friend locally coat mine, i think i paid 243 to my door, got the coating for FREE, and wrapped them for the hell of it. got the header extensions as well. everything bolted right up, PITA to install, but as far as fitment and price for the quality... cant go wrong with them... i would buy new gm gaskets or at least copper coat your existing gaskets to help seal it up.

We're sorry. There are currently no Used listings for PaceSetter 72C2272 Long Tube Header with Armor Coat for 5.7L, 6.0L Cadillac CTS-V 2004-07. However, you can:

Buy it New from $401.99
Have one to sell?

I ended up getting a set of painted black pacesetters for $150 new on a sweet deal I scored and ended up having a friend coat mine for free since I blasted them, and had V-Bands welded to the collecter and then test pipes to the somewhat stock exhaust I have left but so far no leaks and fit pretty well while i've been breaking in my new ls3 and everything. But I couldn't be happier with them. Now just gotta wait for the end of the month to see what she puts down on the dyno

I got a set of the pacesetter with the amazon extensions and everything bolted up perfect to my stock exhaust and no leaks either. Also noticed a power increase without a tune. Never felt an actual increase from just headers on a car before.

Bump to see what peoples review is on PS after owning them for awhile.

Have they cracked or have you had any long term issues with them?

I'm thinking about buying a set (un-coated) and the extentions from Amazon (cheapest price I could find).

get GM gaskets and enjoy. i am sure the uncoated ones breakdown quicker depending on road conditions and drive time but i am happy with the quality and gains.

I'm in southern ohio, and this is my daily. Would you recommend the coating for the extra coin or will it not make to much of a difference?

Let me know when you're about to pull the trigger on the Amazon set. Whenever there is a thread like this a few orders go through and Amazon raises the price.

I should have bought them when they were down at $235. I waited a day and then they jumped to $317. Yesterday they dropped them back down another $10 to $307. I'm not in any hurry to buy them, but would prefer to buy when the price is down rather than up.

I've had mine about a year with no issues. Got them uncoated then sandblasted and coated them myself. If you get the coated ones then you might as well spend the extra $50 and get the stainless obx. I wrapped them as well fwiw.

the coating will help on salty roads in the winter but eventually its going to wear and start to rust. but for me i will hopefully be on a FI combo before they rust through. we're talking many years before that would happen.

I'm also not in a hurry to buy as I've noticed price changing on them also. And also I'd rather buy cheaper than more expensive. I just don't know whether or not I should get coated or I'll be fine with out the coated ones

I'm in Columbus (same winter). I plan on buying the cheaper not coated, and possibly having them coated. It sounds like even the non coated painted at least make it a few years. In my book that's worth $300.

Yea, the $300 that they cost is totally worth it. But at the same time I don't want to be pissed off a year down the road when I could have spent $100 for coated headers and not have had the problem.

As I have said before, I got coated ones for $300 off Amazon; just waited months for a scratch and dent to show up.

I then boat a can of exhaust coating from Eastwood and coated the inside.

They should last a long time down here in Houston.

It would really benefit you Yanks to do the same.....

Thinner flange and the tube quality is not as good. Coating is mediocre, but still holding up on my southern car.....

They were worth what I paid for sure.
