Ok why?
Just saying go buy a auto without any reasoning doesn't help me at all.

That's correct. All new V's are built with auto transmissions, unless the dealer or customer specifically orders a manual.

We have a Manual coupe on our lot right now. I doubt we ordered it like that, must be a customer order that the deal fell through.

They have been proven to be very stout, way more consistent, faster, and in a luxury car like the V2 id prefer not to have to bang gears in a 4,000 lb car.

Here is the proof...Stock Auto (right down to the converter) with a Tranny Tune...and a few other go fast goodies.

The question will be what do you really want...faster of more fun. Either way you go, you will not regret it for one second.

I'd rather drive a manual, but the auto in sport mode is a ton of fun. People shouldn't knock the autos until they drive one. and I mean REALLY drive one.

but i know if i lived in a busier city, with more traffic, i would get an auto. i hate driving my car around DFW in rush hours.

I live in Toronto (one of the biggest cities in Canada) and I'd still get the manual. Its a better joyful driving experience for me.

Manual. For goodness sake, manual! if you want an auto with 550 hp get you an AMG or M5 lol. GM did it correct with the V1 and thats the way it should have stayed. Just my .02.

**Edit - Went back and re-read your first post - Forgot you were looking at a BD edition.

How much are you looking to spend?

thanks man! the silver is just not for me.

however tomorrow could be the big day. It all depends on what the dealer is willing to do for me. ( the one who treated me rite) i WANT to do business with them. i have talked them down considerably. if they meet me in the middle i will be driving a 2012 black diamond manual with recaros suede black wheels and yellow calipers. exactly what i have been looking for.

The 4th gear syncro in my M6 has gone out. It was starting to grind when shifting into 4th at higher RPMs. Its at the dealership now getting replaced under warranty. I guess that is the risk you take, I bought the car used with about 45k miles on it, I've put about 250 miles on it. Cadillac has been pretty good regarding the warranty so far, so I'm happy.
