Default Interesting CL ad

Anyone familiar? It's interesting that they say all work was done at a dealer, I'd think building a 427 would be a bit outside the norm for most dealership service departments?

I assume they just moved here. But whether or not it has been on east coast roads, who cares? Are east coast roads bad for a car?

That said, it seems like a lot of car for the money possibly.

They probably should've just said the car has never been driven on a road that had salt on it.

I always love ads on CL or Ebay that mention alloy wheels, as though that's something special or noteworthy.

Oh, snap! That SL65 has alloy wheels on it?! Daaayyyuuuummmmm!!!

There are some dealers that are willing to do performance builds like that, but they're certainly few and far between. The ad certainly raises more questions than it answers. What are the specs on the 427? Is is a stroked LS6 or something else? Heads? Cam? who did the tune? No mention of headers, so is that 427 trying to breathe through the crappy stock parts?

It could be a great car for the money, but I'd certainly want some more details.

Update: I found this car in Columbus OH, at a private dealer called the "Toy Barn" which deals in high end exotics. The autotrader ad says it has over $15k in engine mods, but nothing too specific regarding heads or cam specs or build info. For $29k, it does look super clean. I'm going to check it out this weekend. Hope the weather cooperates.

Here's the autotrader ad: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...26794130&Log=0
