Same way you would any other remote. split it in half an pull it out and stick a new one in. you aren't loosing any functionality

Bringing this back up...so where do you get the second programmable key...has to be from the dealer, correct?

So i need to buy the key from teh dealer, and cut to match, however I shouldn't pay them to program it since can be done as per the FAQ. How about the FOB's...where to buy?


EDIT: Just called dealer..they said key is $30, FOB is $100...programming is $22.

I just bought car 1 month ago...only came with 1 key and 1 fob...number on the back of the FOB is "2". Dealer said I will need to find FOB with a "1".

Going to search EBAY for a used FOB....maybe I will get lucky.

I've seen V fobs on eBay before but usually they are the #2. I was lucky and got both even though I purchased the car with 69k

Ebay for the remote and key. Get cut locally and program key per FAQ. I was lucky enough to catch one of the service advisor's on a good day and he programmed my remote for free.

Clever, where are you from? I'm friends with a Cadillac tech in central NJ and can have him program it for nothing or next to nothing
