My 800+ CTS-V would have an LSX based 427, a nice healthy cam and a good set of LS7 or aftermarket LSA style heads, and a nice big Whipple at 17-18 psi or so. Should get you where you need to go, with some room to spare.
I think dealing with the 6L80 is going to be the toughest part. Hope you have a good tuner to work with over there as well, or it's all for not.

The guy who is working on my setup, has a $22,800 setup that does it in 2.7, and 9.8 in the 1/4. 850RWHP but that's with the caddy engine. its alot of work, so i decided to go with a bigger engine and just swap it when it comes. so im not sure yet, but over 1000 in the wheels. we'll know soon.

It was about getting a setup not more than the budget I had. That was my life's savings, and Im spending it on the caddy since its my first car and I love it and been waiting to get it since I first heard about it 3 years ago. Hope this answers your question. Plus, maybe someone else might want the same setup so he/she would have an Idea about how much it costs.

Why do you keep editing your posts? Posting income is one of the quickest way to come off like an idiot. There is always someone who dwarfs you.
I don't know if ID1000's will cut it for 1000rwhp, do the ID2000's. You're going to need a lot more suspension than a lowering kit and 20's to 60' that car anything worthwhile. I'd call a shop (LMR, TSP, AMS, whoever) and have them start putting something together for you.
