No. My local Goodyear place charges about $25 per tire to mount and balance. I'll probably need to get my alignment checked, so I plan on shopping around.

Peter @ Forgestar responded that wheels *should* be back from the finishers by end of next week. So don't expect them to ship any sooner than July 9th.

I have eight very lonely tires sitting here waiting.

The Continental DWS are winter-ish tires for my stock wheels. The Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 are for the Forgestar F14s.
Compared to the stock 245s, the 285s look huge. I can't wait to see them on the CTS-V.

Very cool. I've been considering the DWS for my Forgestars. They seem to be great for touring...no snow necessary. Plus great tread life.

I've got this Friday in my calendar. If I recall correctly, someone posted some notes from Forgestar about the week of the 9th going to the finisher.

See ichpen's post above. Hopefully we'll all get phone calls to complete payment for these bad boys.

From Forgestar just a moment ago...

The first batch of groupbuy orders for the CTS-V will ship out this week. The Titanium and the Brushed Titanium finishes will be the first colors that come off the powdercoating line. We are looking to ship those two finishes by the end of this week with tracking numbers. The remaining colors will be scheduled to ship out late next week. Thanks for your patience with us in this long ordeal. We wanted to make sure everything was perfect and no short cuts were taken to give all Cadillac owners the quality product you guys deserve.

Vince is going to send some pics out of the oven shortly. I'll post them for you guys.

Also wheels are lighter than they originally estimated. Can't remember exact numbers, but less than 24 lbs both front and rear IIRC.

Forgestar refined the design of certain sizes of F14 wheels in the last six months or so, but they never produced a full list of affected wheels. If we get the lighter ones, I think it was worth the wait.

Rule of thumb: every pound of unsprung weight lost is worth ten pounds of sprung weight, right?

Now I need to find a good set of lugs. Recommendations? I'm thinking chrome or burnt black and red, but I haven't decided anything yet, really. Anyone have experience with aluminum lugs?
Hey FuzzyLog1c,

I just called Discount Tire Direct for these same exact tires and they quoted me:

$192 each for the fronts (245/40-19)
$250 each for the rears (285/35-19)
___________________
$884 for the set

+

$36 each for the TPMS sensors

$1028 total (shipped)

I mentioned your post from here and he said that you might have price-matched to get your tires down to $724. Is this true or did they (Jesse) just quote you this out of the gate?

They price matched me with Tire Rack. Currently, Tire Rack is showing $189 for the fronts and $237 for the rears. Linkage here:

Ventus V12 evo K110 245/40-19"

Ventus V12 evo K110 285/35-19"
