My soon-to-be father in law did it. He used a GTO kit. I'm removing everything and plan on making some improvements. He did a great job, but I've seen some things that can be improved. I'm documenting everything and I'll be happy to lend advice to anyone attempting this mod. It's definitely not something just anyone should try, that's for sure.

Thumbs up

Starting the teardown. Ordering all the blower guts tomorrow and picked up some FAST 65lb injectors from another board member. Let the fun begin!

SeeTSvee, what are you doing to the internals of the blower?

I'm replacing all 6 bearings and both seals. I lost a seal driving it home from Cali and it ran low on oil, now the bearings are groaning. Plus it had 50xxx miles on it, so it's due for a freshening..

Mine may be for sale in the next month or so. I'm positive this car will take too big a chunk out of my racebike 'operation'...

^^ That's what I was thinking. He could sell the procharger kit for some extra money.

He's referring to his Cobra. Keep up there is a test afterwards.

Well, I started by reading the title and then each post and deduced by what I had read and what the OP said and responded to that he had a Cobra.

Pretty elementary, my dear venom.

Haha! I don't own a mustang of any kind. I was referring to possibly selling the V. I probably won't, because it's a hell of a car and I haven't really had any fun with it yet.
Motorcycle racing is expensive enough, and the last thing I need is another spending addiction! But I see myself just driving the car on occasion and not building a hot rod. Hopefully.

It may get exhaust and a cam, at most. But if and when something breaks, it'll be replaced with something better for sure. I've had numerous drag cars over the years, and that time is gone. She will be a non-race weekend tollway fun car haha!!
