that's what it is though!

i mean is it an oil pan gasket? i'm not sure what the prior situation was.

GM prefers the term "using" , not "leaking".

"Your car USES a quart of oil every 2000 miles, which is normal. That leaking is from a past oil change."

I've owned a few LS equipped vehicle's. EVERY one of them leaks right in that same spot. As long as it's not pouring on the driveway it's fine. If it is, well then park it in the steet hahaha. Even when replacing that seal or seals it will most likely do that same thing.

looks "damp" at best to me. Hit it with some brakekleen and monitor it. If the next time you look under there and the oil is back then make a plan. For me it would have to be a lot worse than your picture for me to want to go through the trouble of fixing

This is actually the GM automatic oil change feature. It cycles out the old, weighed down, dirty oil, and prompts you to add new, fresh oil. Horsepower increases of about .5 rwhp!
