Our lead drummer has drummed in a ton of well known local bands, some before they broke big: Rev Horton Heat being one.
The delay is the EXACT SAME piece used by BHS lead singer. It's intentional & exact mimicry.
The guitarist sucks. I know.

Our bassist is half our age, but he is a phenom. He's got all the Primus/RHCP/jazzy/funky riffs down. Apparently, his bass teacher is The Cult's bassist.

Just cuz it's the exact same, doesn't mean he's using it correctly lol.
I can buy Jimmy Page's replica #1 guitar, but that won't make me sound like him.
Tell him to turn down the volume of the echos and it would be less distracting is all.

Well it sounds like you guys are dialed in on the rhythm section. You are good boss, don't sell yourself short.
