Default under hood temp stop working

the guage just started reading -34. Any help or if anyone knows where the thermostat for the under hood temp is located would be great.

Thanks.

There is no under hood temp sensor that I know of.

There is the water temp sensor on the head (drivers side) near the front.

Ignoring the urge to bash on the OP for sounding stupid for a moment... I think he's probably asking about the coolant temperature sensor located on the drivers side of the engine block. It's probably the most frequently broken sensor on the car due to its location near the MAF, header bolts, and spark plugs and it's one of the sensors displayed in the DIC. A lot of people unplug it and forget to plug it back in because it's hidden from a casual glance by the power steering fluid reservoir.

Its rare to hear about adding a 3.9" crank to a LS1/6 is it not? Thought 383 (4" crank) or 347 was the norm.
I would think piston choices for a 3.9 crank would be very limited...

lol, nice well its not impossible, just never read of it.
3.9" crank with a 3.905 bore would get you there. - square block

Just no idea what pistons you would use.. sounds custom and expensive.

nuff of the thread jacking for me.
