Anything with AMG's 6.3 in it is a monster. Got a ride in an R63 once... it was a trade-in at a dealer I used to work with/for. Thing was one funny lookin ride, but it sure was quick.

The V1 is a great performance sedan that still holds it's own 8 years later.
Excellent handling, brakes, power and very nicely appointed.
With proper mods it's almost untouchable (in the sedan world) except by much newer sedans, that cost twice as much when new.
With the mods available for a V1 now, its a very fun car to own.
As for finding a faster comparable sedan for under $30K, I don't think it's possible.
Some might say 335, but that's a tiny car and slower than a V1, stock to stock.
G8 GXP is an option but it's very rare and not a V.
The M's and AMG's are good cars but they cost significantly more and don't mod as cost effectively.

i cant tell if you are serious or are messing around here.
base price for a c63 is $58,930
http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/vehicl...ss-C/model-C63
base price for a 2013 cts-v is $64,515
http://www.cadillac.com/cts-v-luxury-sedan.html
so if no extra options is something you want from a vehicle then the base c63 is cheaper then a base cts-v. The black series is a more serious vehicle then the c63, in the same way a zr1 is more serious then the z06.
its like google isnt available for everyone.

I'm with liquidvenom here. The C63 Black is a skunkworks car. Might as well bring in a Hennessey V that costs $100G and has every mod listed. A C63 is directly comparable to a V2, not a C63 Black...

^I was thinking the same exact things^
Plus I still get comments all the time....."is that the new Cadillac?" I say "Nah man, it's 8 years old" and I always get...."daaaammmmnnn" as a response. That's worth keeping it right there.

Interesting discussion. When it came time to get rid of my wife's 2004 CTS, I looked at a Hyundai Genisis Coupe with the 2 litre 275hp 4 cylinder and 8 speed auto. It wasn't here yet, so we looked at and bought a 2010 BMW 135i.
It is a small car which is what we wanted, since our kids are all gone but I'm sure it would give my V1 a run for the money especially if I'm doing the shifting.
A couple of days ago a salesman came by and we were talking cars. He had a 2009 MB C63 AMG. But he really wants a V2!

technically a cts is in between the entry level and mid size luxury vehicles as it currently sits. its priced and equiped as a entry level but size wise closer to the 5/e class vehicles. the next cts will move up to that class.

I kinda like the light econobox feel. At least for a toy...but then again I was very attached to my 04 sti. I was dissappointed that the wrx did not have the tire digging, raw aggressive feel my sti did.
