Angry PLEASE HELP!! 04 and 06-07 CTS-V Rear Differential Carrier Assembly

I have an 04 Cadillac CTS-V I have heard a lot about going to the 06-07 rear differential. Guess there was some changes made to it to make it stronger or better in some form or fashion. I have the part number being 25873498. I went to order one and they asked about my yoke (round or triangular). Not sure if I order this part number, if it will just bolt right in???
I have already upgraded my passenger side axle to the GForce larger axle for wheel hop, monster stage 3 clutch, polyurethane motor and tranny mounts, and differential polyurethane differential block. I also know that there is a kit for a 8.8 and 9 inch replacement but currently don't want to spend $4-$5000. Just want to replace my rear end because I drove it with a whine for 3 years and the other day I did a rolling clutch drop and it turned my differential into a grenade basically(blew chunks of the case all over the parking lot)
Please contact me and let me know about any knowledge you have on this subject and if you know where I can get a 06-07 differential at a good price Thank you for your help in this matter 2526268100

I am not going to be much help here, but the 3 bolt triangle yokes were for the V6 applications. I also know the 06 and 07 carriers are a different part number, but I don't think there will be any install problems. I never heard why the PN's were changed, could be a different supplier or better internal structure. That is all I got for you. Good luck.

They made a final diff in '08 (4th gen) I would look for a 4th gen. unit. Call Luke and Lindsay Cadillac and he should be able to set you up with what you need.
