Default 06 cammed v vs bently continental gt

Didnt know if everyone makes it to the srk section so i thought id post this here too.

I was going home from cars and coffee this morning and pulled up next to a burnt orange bently gt. I looked over at him and he gave my car a once over and kinda chuckled. Light turned green and i let out the clutch and took off fairly normal, then i hear the gt lay hell so i follow suit. He gets about a fender or so on me because im lightly spinning in first. I grab second and stop his pull and start slightly inching. I grab third and start pulling on him and get about 3/4 car by the time i hit 4th. i get 3/4 the way through 4th gear and my car nose dives hard. I look down and......... im on empty. So needless to say i got my 3/4 car lead and the race was over.

I was pround of the caddy even tho i know those gt's are tanks to say the least. It was still nice to show the guy what was up after he was laughing at the car. For refrence ive ran a 12.87 at 112.5 with a 2.17 60ft, and the car dynoed 429/395.

lol that's great. It's good you had enough fumes to limp to the gas station.

Don't wanna hate...but those dyno numbers sound WAY high for a cam/headers/ported intake V, especially the way our cars pull low numbers due to the associated driveline losses. Those numbers are a little creative even for an F body with the same setup on a dyno.

I second that. With the right setup I think it could be had. The sigma drivetrain is definitely a power robber, but LSx F-bodies seemed to put out power in that area or even better with some solid H/C/I combos.

Heres my dyno sheet,

As far as him still laughing i dont care, i paid 20 for my car and come to find out i think the bently was actually a supersport. With the black, grill wheels and trimmed lights. If he wants to pay 200k for a car go ahead, to each his own. Always gotta be someione raining on your parade, lol It looked something like this guy here,

yeah the low level alarm, notification, dummy bell, whatever you wanna call it, came on the navi probably 5 minutes earlier when i was doing 70 on the highway. I had just forgot about it when i pulled up next to him because i havnt had any real runs since i got the cam and everything done at christmas.

What cam did you have? I saw he had a g5x2. I put down 436/386 with a 232/240 .618 .624 114 cam, and Patriot stage 2's with all other supporting mods.

the bentley is a low 13 second car at 106mph. Not very impressive but they do weigh 5350lbs.

I found some stuff saying they did a 12.8 in regular form and the supersport does a 12.1 at 113mph. but they do weigh a crap load thats no doubt.

Good run! It would have killed me so props to you. Not everyday you line up next to a Bentley that is willing to race. As for laughing at you, big f'ng deal. We can't all afford $200k cars or we would probably be driving those.
