I'd just pick one off your list, drive it/mod it for a while, then resell and start over. Oh wait..lol

I would definitely look into 08 and up C6 vettes. The LS3's are an awesome platform and make quite a bit of power on minimal mods. I've really considering one here local but don't have a budget like you. Grand sports are extremely sharp rides also equipped with the LS3. I'm only saying take a look at the LS3 vettes because I've seen too many LS7 vettes bite the dust after being modded, and they are much more affordable than a Z06. Good luck in your search.

BTW the local one here I speak of is immaculate. Machine silver, M6, Head/Cam and exhaust with 68xx miles. Yes thats less than 7k miles on the clock! He's asking $34k.

I haven't been around here long, but from what I've seen of you, I'd love to see what you'd do to a C6Z.

I bullet proof Cobra would be nice, and leave plenty of cash to save or have fun with.

Ever thought about a viper? I looked and into gen1's but heard they were nasty to live with, but sound like you could maybe swing a later model? They seem fun.

Or a GTM or GTR kit cars? Those things are nuts.

Oh man, I can never watch someone drive away with vehicles I've sold anymore, because I always remember the day like it was yesterday and it makes me kinda sad.

Don't get a Mustang please. They are a dime o' dozen and every dickface around the corner has one.

A tuned up diesel would be badass ......blowing out black Prius Repellant all over the place while still being crazy fast.

V2 wouldn't suck either.

Sorry for the delayed response guys. Been busy at work.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Car sold for $19,700 cash. I was at $20k firm but the abs and air bag lights were on from when I did the seat swap so it needed that $100 seat belt tensioner replaced and I kept the electric cutouts. Car had 86,500 when it drove away. Car was super clean and had A LOT of good stuff but I think that's about as much as I was gonna get out of it. Would have liked to get more but oh well. I think I did alright.

As far as my replacement vehicle... I'd like a V2 but I'll wait and get one a little later (maybe a year or so). I've always wanted a vette so I think I'm going that route since I've already owned a cobra.

My main interest at the moment is an 08 LS3 C6 I found with just 5k miles! Showroom condition! Black on black and has Z06 wide booty already (I'd add the ZR1 fronts and bumper upon buying it), A&A V3-Si supercharger, cam, full exhaust, built rear, black z06 wheels, short throw, blah blah blah and it makes 650 on 8lbs on a conservative tune. Can be turned up to 13 on the stock block but that's the limit. I'd prob leave it where it is. Guy said he'd take $32k for it if I want it. All mods have less than 1500 miles on them. Just sits in his garage with a cover over it. He bought it brand new in 08.

That's what I'm thinkin man! And... It'll look like a Z06 with the wide body, it'll be faster and cheaper with less miles. I think the LS3 is a stronger modding platform than the LS7 anyway from what I've heard. It's a stout car and for the price, I don't think I can beat it. I'm willing to spend $40k but if i can spend less and save a little, that would be nice as well.

I got $20k in less than a week from the time I listed it. The car was done though both inside and out. Cleanest V1 I've seen.

Only reason I like the diesel idea is cause it's a turn key vehicle I can take anywhere without a worry in the world. But... I really like shifting gears in a fast car so... For that reason... I'm leaning to the V2 or C6 Z06. Honestly a little more toward the vette cause if I don't get one now, I won't for awhile cause I'm 27 as of the 29th and if I wait, I'll prob end up with a kid somewhere along the line and I'll need a back seat. Lol

And only reason I'm leaning away from the cobra is cause I've had one already but I do love em.

Allen, if I could afford a cobra and the diesel I want... I'd do it but on $40k, I'd have an average diesel and an eaton cobra. Lol if rather have a daily beater to drive to the plant, a streetbike and a sick whip for the nice days. Lol
if you are patient you can definitely do both with 40k.

my buddy just sold his garage kept '03 with 78mm hellion kit, coilovers, full exhaust, 18" TF 3 piece wheels, etc. 700ish rwhp on 116, 640rwhp on 93 for $23k. if you found a deal like that, that would leave 17k for a diesel...might not be a new one, but doable. only reason he got out of it was go wait on a used '13 GT500.

good luck, any of the choices will be fun

Wow! That was a legit deal on that cobra! I'd be tempted to do that if i could find a car with all that stuff for that price. I figured if i looked around hard enough, I could have both a cobra and a diesel for the price i'm willing to spend but a diesel for $17k wouldn't be my ideal truck. It would either be older than i really want or have a ton of miles on it.

Im still kicking options around. Im really leaning toward that vette though for the price. An 08 with 5k miles is damn near brand new and its already blown, widebody and fast! Not much i'd need to change to make it 100% the way i want it other than the ZR1 front fenders and some staggered 20" 3-piece wheels and i've seen stock 08's with more miles selling for more than i'd be getting this one for. I was also thinking about buying another 1000cc sportbike. I've been missing my bike since i sold it and my ride to work is perfect for a bike being through some back roads with minimal traffic.

For some reason I think you'd get bored with an already modded car... I could be wrong though... I think half the fun is putting the package together

^^+1 on that hahaha... That c6 sounds like a wicked deal, was thinking about trading in the gfs Saab for an 08 c6 but looks like we might be relocating to NYC next month. Going try to get a group together and head out to Leakey, tx and hit up 335.336, 337 before we leave... I'll post up in the tx region in the next few days if any of u guys r interested

^ LMFAO!!! I'd go with the Vette...you have a hell of a deal on it and will likely get your total investment back on it when you get bored with getting tickets.

Oh it won't be done. Lol I'll still find plenty to do to it. Buying a set of 20x13 19x10 CCW T10's for it tonight local and I don't even have the car here yet from Dallas. Lol

I'll have to look through my garage and see what parts I still have for the V.

And yeah, that's my thoughts anyway. I don't think I can lose and in 6-8 months when I want something else, I should easily get my money out of it.

Quick Reply: Sold the V!!! Just watched it drive off...
