Haha. The wheelhop was a good indicator of when to ease off, you don't have that anymore. Let us know how it turns out when you hit second and you're facing the opposite direction before you blink your eyes or the first time that beast decides to go completely sideways at freeway speeds.
See if Hendrix will replace that axle for you. Someone will be willing to buy it and you can recoup some of your money or save it for some 1000 Hp ones that you're going to need. Maybe he'll give you credit toward the other ones.

you could prob part out the rest of the cobra cradle for at least $500..3k for the 1000hp axles & DS & brackets... decent deal if you wanna deal with parting it out.

Great thread!
Our anti wheel hop axle bar kit is a great seller and has great feedback. They are in stock ready to ship out.
Also, dont forget we have a lifetime warranty on our axles. Break it and we replace it. Not something that happens often but you have the peace of mind knowing it has a lifetime warranty.
You can also trade your axles in on our 9" down the road if you ever decide to put the ultimate rear in your CTS-V.
Give us a call if you have any questions.
Thanks
Chris

I am totally on board with you. I bought a 8.8 aluminum diff from a Lincoln Mark VIII for $65 at the pull&pay. You can buy a posi and gears for $500 or less. I am ready and willing to contribute however I can. I considered buying the bracket so I could duplicate it. I did snag the Ford inner tulips with the center section. I don't know if they are compatible with the V axles but it is a start.
I'd recommend dumping it. Figure out what you want to do with your differential and let that help you decide what to do with the axles and everything else. I'm a complete newbie to differentials, but I've been trying to put together a parts list. Maybe we should try to put together a build/corroborative 8.8 thread that relies on the $600 bracket from Creative Steel and nothing else.

That would be great but I really do think the bracket needs to be cnc and perfect. But who knows maybe that welder is amazing. Damn all this rear end talk has me think about nice asses and dropping clutches lol.
