gforce anti wheel hop kit, keep or no?

gforce anti wheel hop kit, keep or no?
I recently bought a gforce anti wheel hop kit (both sides, cv boots, and clamps, but no CV's), there was a miscommunication saying it came with new CV's, but it's thus been ironed out. I paid 500 shipped for the complete kit. BTW, this all started because my tuner had snapped a CV. I now have another axle coming, and am thinking about keeping the gforce until I save up enough to buy an 8.8 kit.
car is an 04 V with forged 408, making 500+rwhp and around 470 torque.

Send it back.
1. Get your $500 back
2. Sell your stock diff $800-1000
3. Buy a used or newer Cobra Diff $600 - $1000
4. Buy the Partial CS Kit $2100 + $500 back for the Geforce stuff
The diffs cancel each other out = $2600 for the upgrade
Peace of mind clutch dumps and doggin' it. = Priceless.

I played this game.. Broke two cv's and two diff's... One being a gen4. The axles helped but I still broke the damn thing. Sell that diff before u break it and buy the 8.8. I went with a pumpkin out of a old thunderbird.. It's iron so I'm not worried that ill crack the case no more and I bout the partial 8.8 with the billet outters.. I'm not playing these games any longer.

I'd recommend dumping it. Figure out what you want to do with your differential and let that help you decide what to do with the axles and everything else. I'm a complete newbie to differentials, but I've been trying to put together a parts list. Maybe we should try to put together a build/corroborative 8.8 thread that relies on the $600 bracket from Creative Steel and nothing else.

I would keep them as they help with wheel hop and assuming you upgrade to the 8.8 and get the upgraded stubs then selling the getrag axles with stubs attached is easier bolt on to somebody with a stock diff. The reason being your axles now unless you can return them aren't worth 500 anybody even nib but will be worth more if they have stubs attached. All of this assumes you will be upgrading outer stubs when you do an 8.8. If you won't be upgrading outer stubs when you do an 8.8 then I dunno, depends on how much work you are willing to do for both upgrades and wheel hop you are getting and how badly you want to address it. I hate doing work twice so I would try and make the outer stub decision first before paying or doing the gforce axles. I have the gforce bars both sides and only reason I would move to a 8.8 is to quiet the diff.

I am totally on board with you. I bought a 8.8 aluminum diff from a Lincoln Mark VIII for $65 at the pull&pay. You can buy a posi and gears for $500 or less. I am ready and willing to contribute however I can. I considered buying the bracket so I could duplicate it. I did snag the Ford inner tulips with the center section. I don't know if they are compatible with the V axles but it is a start.

So we went to pull it apart and I was just gonna use my stock cv on my Hendrick axle... Until I pulled the old axle out and saw that the CV didn't break, the ******* axle snapped right in the center of the CV. So good news? I have a spare stock complete axle.
The gforce axle kit makes all the difference in the world. Literally, zero wheel hop. I pull all through first, and am sideways as ****. This axle kit is the for real deal. No regrets (yet) about keeping it.
