Default anyone have definitive info on LED bulbs?

I'm looking to do interior LED bulbs, and reverse lights. I'm reading up on superbrightled's, but do not want to order the wrong things.

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/l...s-/10-429-52-/

Anyone have any legit info?

No input other than I would like to do this as well. Someone who has swapped interior bulbs with LED's, help us out!

You guys need to do a search for FuzzyLogic's thread. It's the LED bible.

Most of what I said before has been overcome by events, due to the weird fluxes in the eBay market. Basically, suffice it to say that you can always find great deals on LEDs directly from Asia as long as you know what to look for.

When in doubt, go with the guy that provides technical data on his design. You really want to stick with the sellers that advertise their products in terms of lumens, wattage, and color temperature. Here's an example of a set of 3157s that I'm interested in trying out:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-CANBUS-ER...item4607e5b4f1

Each one of the five Cree T25 SMD LEDs in that package consumes 5 watts. They're solid parts. If that guy's ugly little 3157 package actually puts out 535-570 lumens, it should blow the living crap out of everything I've bought before. Once I'm done with my current mods and have more money to spent on little stuff like this, I'll buy a set and let you know how they fared.

Basically any 3157 style bulbs that has as many surface mount LED's crammed on it as possible will work just fine.

IMPORTANT:

So you don't blow any fuses, make sure that you get the TYPE CK style LED

It apparently doesn't matter. I've used all kinds of 3157s and 3156s with no problems.

I followed one of those threads and did all my interior LEDs. Spent about $100 between superbriteleds and autolumination maybe even vled. Got some 54 led for the reverse lights from eBay. Nice and bright but now some of the LEDs flicker. Cheap china LEDs on eBay WTH?

LEDs don't flicker--even bad or failing ones. Loose electrical connections cause flicker. Check your connections.

The bulbs are usuall multiple smt diodes mounted in series on a tiny pcb and some cheap leads. Yes it's a loose connection but its inside the cheap bulb. I've never had good luck with the eBay ones. They vibrate loose and flicker or just fail within a year.
