Default Possible lug pattern solution!?

My friend told me about this website
http://www.motorsport-tech.com/4DCGI/a_st.html

You can do wheel adapters from the 6x115 that the cts-v unfortunately has, to any 5 lug pattern (Im choosing 5x120)

I want to do a 19x11 rim with +25 offset in the rear and im worried about clearance. I would be run a 25mm adapter basically making the rim sit perfectly center of the fender well.

Is there enough clearance in our fender well to perform this and what are the disadvantages of running adapters?

You do realize 25 mm is just over an inch, right? I don't know of any wheels that would fit. The stock offset is too close to the face of the wheel. Definitely rules the front out.

An 11" wheel would also require some custom trailing arms.

The best option is corvette hubs with 5th gen camaro rotors.

Also, is it c5 or c6 corvettes?

definitely better solution! thanks.

Question though? why coudnt you use a gen 5 camaro hub and rotors since they use the same brembos?

Not sure, they may not bolt up? I haven't done much research on it. Just some info I've seen during casual browsing.

Why couldn't you re-drill the stock hubs? Street rodders do it all the time. I have seen a instance where a old GM front drum brake hubs were re-drilled to fit a old ford wide 5 pattern. I would think that you could re-drill the rotor as well. If you could put the car up on jack stands and find some one with a bridgeport you could have everything accurately re-drilled in no time.

pretty sure there will be overlap between bolt patterns and will not work. there are pics of guys who redrilled v2 rotors to 6 lug...the opposite concept. however you would not be able accomplish that with bolt-on adapters that require a bolt to the adapter to hub, and then bolt for wheel to adapter.

hot rodders usually redrill 5lug to a different 5lug, which is common and very easy. going from 6lug to 5lug is a different animal.

That's a neat trick, but your math is backwards. A +25mm wheel with a 25mm adapter would effectively have an offset of 0. Trailing arm clearance certainly won't be a problem, but good luck with the wheels that are now sticking out 3" farther than the stock wheels!

Not to mention that it appears the thinnest adapter they can do for a bolt pattern change like that is 35mm. So make that almost 3-1/2"!

No, and none, other than the additional 35mm of offset you have to account for.

I believe that the Camaro hubs do not have the integrated wheel speed sensors, so your ABS, TC and Stability Control would not work.

If the goal is to go with a custom 19x11 wheel, whats the point of swapping to 5 lug? Just get the wheels custom made with the 6 lug bolt pattern.

My god. Those are SWEET!

I agree if you want a custom set of wheels why bother with the lug change? Just seems like more cost and more work...

They don't fit. You can find pics from different angles that he has posted showing how far they extend past the fenders/quarters.

Well, rather than bumping your own thread (which yooper probably isn't subscribed to) 13 months after it was last active to ask a question that yooper will probably never see, howzabout you send him a PM?
