UBERTONG

After reading this post I decided to monitor my temp this weekend. My LS6 usually hovers around 194-205 cruising around town. Although, after driving her pretty hard this weekend sitting at a stoplight she got up to around 216.

completely stock coolant system. only mod is xpipe and cutouts. while moving usually stays around 192-194deg. when sitting for awhile or stop n go traffic with a/c off will go up to 228 sometimes and then start coming down when fans kick on. highest i ever saw it go was 229deg. i'll be putting in a 180 t-stat over the winter

gangnam style

stock 194-195F all day. i don't sit in stop n go much but even with that sprinkled in, i've never seen the coolant temp above 200F.

oil temp, is uncomfortably high to me (248-268F).

160 degree thermostat, modified fan tables...I typically reach equilibrium at 176 F, which is by design.
