Default Ipod interface kits... USA Spec PA15-Vette on ebay cheap...

Just incase anyone else needs/wants one. I just ordered one myself and they have 8 sold so far and only 2 left it says. $115 shipped! Cheapest i've seen them offer it in a long time.

Here's the link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/130701133906...#ht_1435wt_907

Not sure if it will work because when i click it, it goes to my account because i already bought one but either way, its easy to find.

My only concern about buying thru Ebay (or any other unauth'd merchant) is the warranty. They seem to be finicky pieces and I'd hate to spend that much $$ and be stuck with it if it were to malfunction.

Simple... U have problem with ur piece, find a local place or even another place online that carries the same one but with a warranty, buy it and install it, take/send the old one back on same receipt. Waalaa! May seem wrong but it's not coming outta the stores pocket so they arent affected. The item is sent back to the manufacturer and the distributor gets their refund so everyone's happy. Pretty sure they would be warrantied regardless through the manufacturer though.

Seems like a lot of people have bought these on eBay with no issues though.

Like me. And when I bought a PA50-VETTE and didn't like it, the seller accepted my request to return it.

The pa50 was supposed to be updated version of the pa15 right?

Anyone have any issues with this pa15 kit? I've heard good things about it from a few people on here. I had the NEO kit in my old car but was told this was the one to get.

No issues with the PA15. Tried the PA50, had issues, and went back to the PA15. It'll be in my car forever.

Whew!! Just making sure I didn't order a shitty interface. Lol Heard nothing but good reviews prior to ordering. I liked my NEO kit in my old car but the USA spec seems to have a bigger fan club so that's why I went this route for this car.

I bought the pa15 thru an eBay seller... The unit was dead, never worked... Spent 30 min of the phone with a tech from USA spec. After we did the trouble shoot the tech asked if I ordered in. On amazon or eBay. He said he gets alot of calls from people w defected units via eBay. I contacted my seller and she said whatever I want to do... Refund or sent another package... Ended up going with another one and it's worked this time around

That worries me a little but at least they are willing to warranty and replace it. Ill keep my fingers crossed that this kit works when it gets here.

I'm sure if its sealed in the package and brand new, it has nothing to do with ebay or amazon. I'd be willing to bet its just the rare case of a defective unit regardless where it comes from. They prob just hear about it more from ebay because of pricing. I'd bet most people buy from ebay as opposed to amazon.

Yes. Plugs into your XM module and the wires run to the front for drivers seat control.

I got one for $108 shipped. Seems to work fine. Only issue I had was setting the dip switches upside down and it didn't work at first. In fact it decided to forget the entire xm band on the radio. I unplugged everything, and pulled the radio fuse. I then set the dip switches correctly and plugged it all back in right. Viola. Worked fine.

Only issue I have now is that the presets that I set up for the controls don't work right. The text for each button shows what I set it as, but the function reverts to default which is annoying. I'll probably put them back and forget it. I don't use playlists so the radio controls are pretty lame anyway. Direct control seems best. Sounds as good as an iPod can..
