I am contemplating leaving the "People's Republic of Maryland" for Spring Grove, PA (York county). Since everything that I have is modified, I am wondering if there are any friendly shops in York county for inspection. Not worried about emissions, that should be fine. More concerned about the safety insp.

Emissions is really the only bugger, and they dont even tailpipe test. PA safety is about brakes, lights, and suspension/steering. Unless you are trying to skate by with a cracked windshield, which is the only thing ive ever needed a 'friendly shop' for besides emissions, PA doesn't hassle you. What specifically would you be worried about? Feel free to Pm me if you don't want to post it publicly for some reason. I'm not in that area but have lived in rural and 'urban' PA

And tires. You can't have bald tires. Really I can't think of one other thing they're hardcore about beyond basic safety things that you would want in good shape. If your emissions are good with the mods, including visible cats, you shouldn't have a problem at all.

Yo D, York is about hour & half from me. My buddy owns an inspection garage, as long as you don't have CEL your car will pass. Let me know if you make the move. Then you can install my Cam...lol
