$3500 - http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/At...e-Scissor-Lift

Hard to tell if that is really "portable" or if you'd have to park over it in your garage. I recall that someone else on here had the MaxJax, which is "portable" (you can unbolt and move the towers) and 2/3 the price: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...sSearch=790007

Hey - I'll take either if it's a gift!

that thing is expensive! You can get a twin post for around 1200 $ new. Better yet 800 used! Thats 2700$ to spend on go fast parts. Unless its a gift, you can keep it IMO

This is what I am thinking... plus you can actually get to 99% of the underbody with a two-post lift.

Here is my lift. Max Jax all the way! This is at half height. Full height I can sit on a roller seat and roll under it. Plus the posts are removable.

This is what I want! I would have mounts on the side of my house, in my driveway, all of my garage bays, etc. That way I could used it where ever I wanted!

The garage door is eight feet, but a garage doors height isn't a limiting factor in regards to installing a lift in your garage. The ceiling height is.

At full height, the car is approx 2-3 feet from my ceiling, the roof of the car is just above the garage door rails.
