My craftsman couldn't keep up with my 3/8 air racket. The compressor ran constantly when I used it. Since I typically use my impact guns it short bursts, the tank has enough capacity to deal with it.
When the my tank is at 145-150 psi, I can almost take off all four wheels, then reinstall all four wheels before the compressor kicks back on when the tank gets below 120.

I have a craftsman 33 gallon that's been my trusty side kick the last 10 years, got it for free and it still runs like a champ for all my air tools. A die grinder run for several minutes will give it a run for the money, but she keeps up!

To rule out all of craftsman air compressors is a little harsh, they have a large range of compressors that they offer up to 80 gallon 2-stage units. Are there better companies, sure. But look at what you are willing to spend and find the best/Biggest (note that by biggest it is CFM output not necessarily tank size) you can afford

The OP wanted a cheap solution.

The Craftsmen (not an oil less) for around $100 is hard to beat.
