I was really surprised at how well it has been maintained. Saw tons of sweet rides out on the road...two Ferraries (360 & 550), couple of Supra's, tons of custom bikes, etc. it was an awesome time and we made 4 passes at about 20-30 minutes each.

ABSOLUTELY! I am actually headed that way tomorrow. Going down to Knoxville for a Cars & Coffee event in the morning then may hit the Dragon for a pass or two. Went the day after Christmas in the rain (and snow on top of the mountain!) just because we were in the area.

Idk about the op but I myself am. Here is a vid I did a while back. Make sure you turn the volume up at the end to hear the guy that was following me on a bike. Embed won't work.

nice vid ssmokdu!
so whats the "speed limit" on these roads? and how does law enforcement feel about them? I feel like I'd be skeptical of every cruiser coming the other way being a cop.
looks like so much fun

Where you guys coming from? We were talking about driving up one day, three hours, spending the night or two in a cabin, 150$ for a good size one iirc, hitting the tail the next day and then coming back. If anyone is coming from or crossing mid tn let me know.
It would be our daily cars.. 11 5.0, 02 ws6, 04 V, 11 challenger, 04 zo6.. Possibly a few others tagging along but that would be the main.

I'm in Northeast TN in Johnson City. It's only a couple hrs drive for me but I have been thinking about doing a weekend trip sometime this year.
Yeah there is definitely an LEO presence known however they are fairly lenient from what I have seen. I believe the posted limit is 35mph. I agree with BudRacing the Skyway is an amazing drive. Last year i drove it a few times until the State Popo got some new BMW bikes and started hovering a chopper over the mountain lol.

I am coming from Nashville, so only a few hours for me. Usually just leave in the early morning and make a day of it. Not too big on staying out there.
When we went last Sept, we saw 3 undercover cops (Ford Explorer, and two Vics) and then three troopers/state police. They had it covered pretty heavy.
